Manager, Quality Assurance (Data & Analytics)
Job Summary
The Manager, Quality Assurance – Data and Analytics develops and leads the enterprise quality assurance strategy in alignment with business objectives and the overall information management strategy. This role ensures the quality, reliability, integrity, security, and performance of customer-facing and back-office technology systems and their underlying data. The role establishes scalable and flexible testing frameworks that support business change with minimal disruption to existing systems and data.
This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.
What you will be doing:
- Develop and execute the enterprise quality assurance strategy aligned with business and information management objectives.
- Establish and maintain quality assurance standards, methodologies, policies, and procedures.
- Lead test planning, execution, automation, defect management, and documentation across development and user acceptance environments.
- Ensure comprehensive testing mitigates risk related to new systems, enhancements, integrations, and data transformations.
- Oversee validation of enterprise data platforms, reporting solutions, integrations, and analytics environments.
- Maintain stable and secure testing environments and reusable test frameworks.
- Lead quality assurance team structure, workforce planning, resource allocation, and performance management.
- Coordinate testing scope, schedules, and priorities with technology and business stakeholders.
- Support user acceptance testing and post-implementation validation activities.
- Manage vendor relationships and external resources to ensure quality delivery and cost effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement through process enhancements, automation, and innovation.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in technology or business discipline, or equivalent progressive experience.
- 7+ years of progressive experience in information technology roles, including the following:
- a) 5+ years of experience leading software quality assurance and testing initiatives across enterprise integration, database or data warehouse environments, business intelligence platforms, or application development teams, including at least 3+ years managing quality assurance teams.
- b) 2+ years of experience supporting, maintaining, and delivering testing for production business systems and application portfolios.
- Experience leading software testing, enterprise integration, data warehouse, analytics, or application teams.
- Strong expertise in system development lifecycle methodologies, risk management, and structured testing practices.
- Experience validating complex data environments, integrations, and reporting solutions.
- Experience with cloud platforms, database technologies, and test automation tools.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, manage resources, and deliver enterprise technology solutions.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
What we also value (preferred):
- Experience with automated testing integrated with version control and continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
- Advanced experience using structured query language to validate complex data transformations and integrations.
- Experience managing large, multi-application enterprise portfolios.
- Experience with modern data and analytics technologies, including cloud-based data platforms, distributed processing frameworks, scripting languages, and artificial intelligence tools.
