Job Summary

The Manager, Procurement Sourcing develops and executes sourcing strategies that improve supplier partnerships, optimize cost of goods and services, and support organizational goals. This role leads strategic sourcing initiatives, manages supplier performance, and drives procurement processes that improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and strengthen long-term value. This role will support multiple categories including food and beverage, supplies, and operation services.

This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies that improve supplier performance, reduce costs, and support business objectives.
  • Support peers and lead supplier negotiations to secure favorable pricing, service levels, and contract terms for products and services.
  • Research new applicable suppliers and cold call/email and host capability meetings.
  • Coordinate samples for the department and stakeholders.
  • Conduct pricing audits to confirm contract compliance and ensure projected savings goals are achieved.
  • Analyze organizational spend and identify sourcing opportunities that deliver competitive solutions and measurable financial value.
  • Maintain current cost benchmarking practices and perform regular category reviews to identify pricing, process, and product improvement opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to improve profit margins through product, process, or service changes.
  • Develop and present one- to three-year category strategies that support long-term value and savings goals.
  • Build financial models to support sourcing recommendations, supplier negotiations, and cost analysis.
  • Monitor category and commodity risks and implement mitigation strategies to reduce supply disruptions or cost volatility.
  • Partner with logistics teams to resolve supplier delivery, service, and quality issues and ensure timely execution of sourcing activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing initiatives with operational and strategic business needs.
  • Manage multiple sourcing categories of moderate to high complexity and ensure project pipelines support annual savings targets.
  • Key owner of recipe costing tool supporting department and Food & Beverage stakeholders.

What we need from you:

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain, retail buying or purchasing, food service, logistics or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of theatre or similar operations to ensure that all programs are focused on improving cost.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to set priorities to best support business needs.
  • Experience managing sourcing categories with moderate to high complexity
  • Knowledge of strategic sourcing principles, supplier management, and procurement best practices.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting established savings targets. 

What we also value (preferred):

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business administration, finance, operations, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in strategic sourcing, supply management, or procurement (SPSM).
  • Experience managing food and beverage sourcing categories.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders to implement enterprise-wide sourcing strategies.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements that strengthen procurement operations and supplier performance.
