Working alongside our People Analytics and HR Systems teams, this role sits at the heart of AMC’s digital HR transformation, connecting People and Technology to build HR solutions that take the hassle out of everyday work to help our people thrive.
As the principal designer and change leader, you’ll collaborate across HR and the business to identify opportunities, reimagine workflows, and bring new ideas to life that enhance the way we work.

This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.
What you will be doing:
- Reimagine and transform HR processes and workflows by aligning on desired outcomes and designing scalable, digital solutions that elevate our work and improve the employee experience.
- Serve as the primary owner and thought leader for AI, automation, and virtual agent opportunities across HR, identifying, evaluating, and scaling innovative solutions that enhance HR service delivery.
- Own end-to-end digital solution lifecycles, from ideation through implementation and optimization including tracking progress and measuring impact.
- Champion the employee experience as the primary lens for all solution designs, ensuring every solution meaningfully improves how work gets done.
- Lead change management efforts that enable successful digital transformation, including stakeholder engagement, communication, digital literacy, and adoption.
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships across HR, IT, Operations, theatre leadership, and business stakeholders to align priorities, co-create solutions, and drive adoption of digital shared services models.
- Ensure all AI and automation solutions meet privacy, security and compliance standards.
What we need from you:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR Management, IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ year(s) of HR experience leading people, processes, or projects.
- Proven track record in driving change and optimizing service delivery.
- General understanding of AI technologies, how they can support HR operations, and awareness of privacy and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of core HR processes, policies, and systems, and how they shape the employee experience.
- Ability to connect HR initiatives to broader business goals and strategy.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity with confidence and guide stakeholders toward clear outcomes.
- Experience ensuring compliance with employment laws and privacy standards.
- Experience solving problems and answering employee questions with empathy and emotional intelligence.
- Comfort using feedback and data to make continuous process improvements.
What we also value (preferred):
- 3+ years of experience in HR, HR operations, or HR shared services
- Experience designing and scaling digital shared services models in HR.
- Experience in project management and/or process improvement.
- Exceptional analytical, quantitative, and statistical skills.
- Technical knowledge of HR technologies and systems.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP, PHR, SPHR, and Lean Six Sigma are all highly desirable.
- Experience in AI development, particularly in leading implementations of chatbots or virtual assistants.
- Experience with AI concepts in practice (machine learning, NLP, AI frameworks).
- Experience with programming languages.
Minimum qualifications:

- 1+ year(s) of HR experience leading people, processes, or projects.
- Proven track record in driving change and optimizing service delivery.
