Compensation
AMC provides a compensation range for open positions where required. Factors that may be used to determine actual compensation may include, but are not limited to, specific skill-set, relevant experience or geographic location. The compensation range for this position may be lower or higher in different markets based on business needs.
The compensation for this position is: $24.00 - $25.20
Job Scope
The Digital Cinema Manager position is utilized in theatres where the position is not legally precluded by the terms of an existing collective bargaining agreement. (In these situations, supervision of the booth falls to members of senior management —General Manager or Senior Manager.) This position will not be assigned where collective bargaining agreements preclude the use of booth management personnel.
What You’ll Be Doing
Daily/Weekly Responsibilities
- Coordinate booth operations during key shifts, including creating/scheduling SPLs, managing KDMs, and ingesting trailers (e.g., TrailMix).
- Train associates identified by management using AMC’s standardized booth certification and training materials.
- Perform quality control checks and provide technical support for screenings and special events—ensuring AMC’s reputation for picture-perfect presentation.
- Monitor and manage the execution of pre-feature programming; identify, correct, and/or report any technical issues immediately.
- Conduct auditorium and booth evaluations to ensure sound and picture quality meet AMC standards; troubleshoot and resolve issues as needed.
- Calibrate luminance and perform weekly light readings; submit reports as required.
- Track and maintain Xenon bulb inventory, including usage logs, order submissions, and spare lamp storage.
- Monitor inventory levels for critical spare equipment parts and booth supplies.
- Oversee routine cleaning and maintenance of projection and audio equipment; promote upkeep responsibilities among team members.
- Inspect and ensure functionality of assisted moviegoing devices such as headsets, transmitters, and reflectors.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of booth reports; submit documentation as needed.
- Complete all other functions and assignments as assigned by the General Manager/Senior Manager (where applicable).
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance as scheduled in accordance with AMC’s Management Work Schedule Policy.

What We Need From You
- Must be at least 18 years old; other location-specific age requirements may apply.
- Six months experience of digital projection.
- Six months of supervisory experience or commensurate experience with proven ability to lead teams and achieve results through resources.
- Ability to identify visual and audio presentation issues and correct.
- Completion of all online training including practical certification and advanced booth training modules.
What We Also Value

- Basic computer networking and electrical aptitude or associated knowledge.
- Ability to change digital projector bulbs and adjust 3D convergence in accordance with AMC Policy and Guidelines.
- Demonstrated analytical, planning, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to consistently deliver results with minimal supervision.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft Office Suite, theatre-specific systems)
Requirements to be performed, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending on a frequent basis.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and carry it up to 90 feet (or deposit into a dumpster or trash compactor)
