Job Summary

The Application Administrator III is responsible for implementing, administering, and supporting the Enterprise Integration platform, ensuring stable, efficient, and scalable system operations. This role focuses on managing deployments, monitoring infrastructure, advancing DevOps practices, and supporting the migration and ongoing operation of applications in Microsoft Azure Cloud Services. The position also contributes to continuous improvement of automation, CI/CD pipelines, and enterprise workflows to enhance system reliability and business performance.

This position is based in Leawood, KS and is not eligible for relocation.

What you will be doing:

  • Implement and support the architecture and design of the Enterprise Integration platform.
  • Manage deployments and monitor production and non-production environments, ensuring system performance and stability.
  • Apply standards and best practices for automation tools, including CI/CD pipelines in Azure.
  • Administer and improve workflow and process automation, including enterprise service orchestration and scheduling.
  • Provide Tier 3 technical support, addressing and resolving platform issues while escalating to appropriate teams as needed.
  • Communicate root cause analyses and system impacts effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with project management, development, and quality assurance teams to coordinate deployments and hotfixes.
  • Monitor and optimize application and infrastructure performance, including system logging and monitoring.
  • Contribute to the migration and daily operations of applications hosted on Azure Cloud Services.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members and contractors, aligning team efforts with business objectives.

What we need from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, journalism, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
  • 2+ years of workflow and process automation experience.
  • Hands-on experience with:
  • Workflow automation and enterprise job schedulers
  • Cloud services (Microsoft Azure, AWS).
  • CI/CD pipeline deployments.
  • Containerization (Kubernetes, Docker).
  • Configuration management (Ansible, Chef).
  • Continuous integration/delivery and infrastructure-as-code tools (GitHub, Octopus, Terraform).
  • Scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bicep, YAML).
  • Application and infrastructure monitoring/logging (New Relic, Azure Monitor).
  • Database querying (SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Windows Server and IIS administration.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate data and provide solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship.
  • Availability for rotational 24x7 on-call support.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with emerging technologies.

What we also value (preferred):

  • Experience with enterprise applications such as Azure Cloud, SharePoint, MIM/FIM, and Kubernetes.
  • Progress toward or completion of a web technology certification.
  • Experience with JavaScript and Node.js.
